Starting tomorrow, Kathleen Kim can be heard in Gangwon, Korea, with two performances at the Great Mountains Music Festival. On the 26th, the Korean-American soprano performs two Rossini works—”Una voce poco fa” from Il barbiere di Siviglia and “Giorno d’orrore” from Semiramide—and Mozart’s Coronation Mass No. 15. Heard with Kathleen in the duet from Semiramide is mezzo-soprano Elizabeth DeShong, who also joins Kathleen along with tenor Hoyoon Chung and baritone Heungu Bahk for the Mozart.
Accompanied by pianist Da Sol Kim, Kathleen sings another program on the 31st that includes Rossini’s “La pastorella delle Alpi” and “La Fioraia Fiorentina,” along with Dell’Acqua’s “Villanelle” and Delibes’s “Les filles de Cadix.”
